20 JanWhy Invest In Silver Coins?

This article is based on a summary from the Silver Investor newsletter.

The dollar is devaluing, and the  Federal Reserve Bank has been just accelerating the process by printing cash in an effort to stave off deflation. In reality, any “fiat currency” the world has ever seen has ultimately became rubbish.

Silver, on the other hand — unlike stock or paper currency — can never become rubbish. Silver is money!

A bull-run on silver is foreseeable. But every bull-run has a calm beginning, and logically, it’s optimal to get in before the mob. Public awareness of the silver state of affairs is growing even at this time.

Unlike gold, silver is an industrial commodity. The basic scientific properties of silver make it a contender for use in an ever-increasing selection of devices and applications, from laptop chips to solar power generators.

Because silver is an industrial commodity, it is a candidate for an industrial famine. The world’s manufacturing consumers hold not much in the way of silver stocks, thanks to just-in-time inventory and manufacture practices.

70% of silver production comes as a by-product to other types of mining, such as copper, lead and zinc. The mining industry is simply unable of keeping up with the current demand for silver.

Silver Demand

Given that we already have a well-known trade silver shortage, a general deficiency is to be expected as too. When industrial users face delays in silver shipments they will be terrified and endeavor to put up inventories all at once. This situation unique to silver—it does not relate to gold.

In the current economic disaster, there is a overpowering and very dominant advantage to silver being an industrial commodity. The mainstream has forgotten about silver as a monetary metal. The new age bracket, and possibly even you, has only a momentary relationship between silver and value.

On the other hand, in the face of moribund dollar values, and as the supply/demand uniqueness of silver grow to be more generally understood, more and more folks will start to learn how you can’t go wrong with silver rounds, silver eagles, or 90% (junk )

Demand for jewelry could simply change from gold as gold prices move higher (which is likely, but for other reasons). Manufacturing demand, no matter what happens with the dollar, will carry on to use more silver than is being produced.
